NASA’s September report shows Randy Bresnik and Luca Parmitano inspecting solid rocket booster integration in Kennedy’s Vehicle Assembly Building. It records the first Kennedy visit by the full Artemis III crew and backup crew members.
What NASA confirmed
The 2 September visit brought Bresnik, Parmitano, Frank Rubio, Andre Douglas and backup astronaut Bob Hines to Kennedy Space Center. The published photograph documents booster-integration progress in High Bay 3.
The update records work in progress. It does not announce completed booster integration or a new launch date.
Why this matters for Artemis III
The crew is preparing for a planned 2027 Orion and commercial lander demonstration in low Earth orbit. Artemis III will validate operations needed before Artemis IV’s planned crewed lunar landing.
